Hands down the best butchery in Strand. I can not recall what the gentleman's name was that assisted me but I would give 10 stars if I could. Friendly and professional service.

The pleasure starts when you enter, neat, clean, pleasant atmosphere and lots of friendly faces. Neels will swiftly and perfectly cut your lamb purchase exactly according to your choice; also suggest better options. Their biltong and droëwors is top-shelf. They also have a frozen section where they keep afval pieces and sheep-tail (latter not available before Calvinia meat festival, haha). By the time you pay you meet more friendly faces and leave with a smile. Then comes the braai! The meat was so good I left my guests from Switzerland, after brief instructions, alone at the fire. They braaied the lamb cuts and wors to perfection and more smiles, thanks due to Calvinia produce.

Placed my first online order, delivered to my front door, very well packaged, fresh meat, even the colour and texture of meat looks fresh. I'm impressed, well done guys, packaging neat too. I ordered half a lamb, some mince, 2 steaks and biltong. Decided on the unfrozen box as I wanted to pack meat according to how I would cook but have no doubt the frozen box would look exactly the same, you have a regular from now on. Also asked for uncut ribs and it was delivered as requested. I recommend adding marrow bones, soup bones or meaty bones, knuckles for pets and free range eggs to your online store for the future, well done, appreciate it🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
